Club Brugge Set to Land Second Summer Signing: Zaid Romero

Although the transfer violence will probably only break out completely after the European Championship, the summer mercato is gradually starting to pick up speed. Club Brugge is about to sign a second summer signing.

Earlier, Blauw-Zwart, which also permanently took over loanee Nordin Jackers from OH Leuven, already brought in fresh blood in midfield with Ardon Jashari. Since the Swiss is still active at the European Championships, he will only join us later in Westkapelle.

Romero landed in Bruges

Then Nicky Hayen won’t have to wait as long for his new defender. The newspapaer knows that Zaid Romero has landed in Belgium. The 24-year-old Argentinian also announced via his personal social media that he is in Bruges.

According to transfer expert Sacha Tavolieri, his medical tests are scheduled there on Thursday. Unless they throw a spanner in the works, Club is reportedly putting up around six million on the table for the left leg, whose transfer has been in the air for a while.

Competition at Club

Even now we are still waiting for official confirmation from Jan Breydel, although it seems only a matter of time. The newspapaer does not think that his physical tests will be a stumbling block for the 1.92 meter tall powerhouse.

Since he combines his physical qualities with the necessary technical baggage, Romero is listed as a modern central defender. In the back he has to compete with Brandon Mechele, Joel Ordoñez and Jorne Spileers.
