Club Brugge Targets Turkish Striker Güven Yalcin as Replacement for Igor Thiago

Club Brugge has sold Igor Thiago to English side Brentford for a record amount of 37 million euros. Blauw-Zwart is diligently looking for a replacement. According to journalist Gianluca Di Marzio, it has found a striker.

Turkish striker Güven Yalcin is said to be high on Club Brugge’s list. According to the Italian transfer journalist, Blauw-Zwart has also already made an offer to Genoa. He is still under contract there until 2026 with a market value of 1.7 million euros.

Loaned out

Yalcin was loaned out by Genoa to Turkish side Karagümrük last season. There he scored nine times and provided four assists in 32 league games. Yalcin is a center forward who can also be posted on the flanks.

The Turk also has three caps to his name and was also a Turkish and German youth international. Ultimately, Yalcin chose the Turkish national team despite being born in Düsseldorf. The striker also comes from the youth of Bayer Leverkusen.

Attacker wanted

After the departure of Thiago to the Premier League, Club Brugge is looking for a new attacker. Several names have already been discussed and Yalcin is the last in the list. No word has been said about a transfer fee for the time being, but Club Brugge does have several millions to spend.
