‘Club smells the jackpot: English go for seasoning’

The sporting management of Club Brugge has now completely turned the corner after the unexpected national title. After all, people are already busy preparing for the coming season. Another busy transfer summer is expected.

The brand new champion has now managed to clarify the trainer position. After all, it was announced on Monday evening that Nicky Hayen and his staff will remain on board. The champion maker was rewarded for his great career with an indefinite contract.

Now that that file is behind us, we are mainly looking at Dévy Rigaux. After the departure of Vincent Mannaert, Club decided to split the CEO’s duties into different positions. That of ‘Director of Football’ eventually went to Rigaux. In that capacity, he will largely be concerned with transfer policy.

Summer departure from Nusa?

He has already made his first acquisition with midfielder Ardon Jashari and more will follow. In addition, he was already closely involved at the beginning of this calendar year in the outgoing transfer of Igor Thiago, who is moving to Brentford FC for a sum that could amount to 37 million euros. And he will probably have another file of that magnitude on his plate.

A departure of Antonio Nusa is still not ruled out. For a long time, a transfer for the Norwegian even seemed like a done deal. Due to his disappointing performances in the second half of the season and the winter soap opera surrounding his failed transfer to Brentford, there was now a question mark behind it. Nevertheless, the youngster can still count on the necessary interest.

Club asks for full money

He was recently linked to Bayer Leverkusen. And there continues to be interest from England as well. Crystal Palace is said to be pulling his sleeve. This is reported by The Palace Way, a social media account that specializes in news surrounding the London club. Palace may have to say goodbye to trendsetters such as Michael Olise and Eberechi Eze in the summer.

Offensive reinforcement is therefore welcome and the sights would also be focused on Nusa. The question, however, is whether the Norwegian himself is open to a move to Selhurst Park. Moreover, Londoners will have to pay a lot. Club would still charge the same asking price as last winter, when an agreement was reached with Brentford for around 35 million euros.
