The former successful coach of Real Madrid had only joined the Munich team a year ago. It was his first engagement outside of Spain. In his only season, he won the double of BBL Cup and championship with Bayern. The Munich team also finished the Bundesliga main round in first place. Bayern finished the EuroLeague with a record of 13 wins and 21 losses.
