Coahuila will contribute seven athletes to the Mexican delegation that will participate in the Paris 2024 Olympic Games that will start on July 26, reported Antonio Cepeda, director of the State Sports Institute.

He mentioned that the athletes are practically ready to travel to French lands a month before the sports event starts.

“A few days ago we were present at the flag event at the National Palace of the delegation that will represent Mexico in these Olympic Games,” he said.

“He has a lot of Coahuila talent, we have seven Coahuila people already with a ticket to the Olympics. Half of the Mexican Archery team are from Coahuila and we have other disciplines where there are more Coahuila people,” he highlighted.

The athletes that Coahuila contributes to the Mexican delegation are Angela Ruiz, Saltillo; Ana Paula Vázquez, Ramos Arizpe; Bruno Martínez, Saltillo; all three in archery

Edson Ramírez from Saltillo, in Sports Shooting and Gabriela Rodríguez from Saltillo, in Shotgun Shooting.

As well as Miguel de Lara de Torreón, in Swimming and Ana Sofía Flores de Torreón in Rhythmic Gymnastics.

Cepeda pointed out that each of them has been supported by the state government for their preparation, given the scarcity of resources of the federation.

On the other hand, Matías Grande from Saltillo will also be participating in Archery, but for some years he has been a representative of the state of Guanajuato.

In fact, this is what happens with Bruno Martínez and Edson Ramírez, who are from the State of Mexico and Tamaulipas, respectively, but will be in Paris through Coahuila.
