Concerns about England star Jude Bellingham

At the “Lions’ Den” show, hosted by the English Football Association, Bellingham actually wanted to praise the fans who always give him strength, even when things aren’t going well in the game. But his comments about his fitness level in the third group game also raise concerns about whether the many games and all the pressure aren’t a bit too much.

“You definitely get energy from the English fans at the end of the game,” explained the 20-year-old, impressed by the great atmosphere at the European Championships in Germany. “I felt that in the last game. I was completely dead. But then you hear them singing, they shout.”

His goal is still to always give his all. “You can sometimes play at a level that is not our best. That’s normal, that can happen. But I think the important thing is that with this crest on your chest and as a representative of these fans, you never give up. And they remind you of that regularly.”

Bellingham proved in the 2023/24 season that he is one of the best players in the world. He scored 23 goals and collected 13 assists, leading Real Madrid to the Spanish championship and Champions League success. But it became clear several times that the Englishman did not have the influence in the last few games of the “Three Lions” that everyone hoped for from him.
