After having got hold of two French Internationals, it is now up to a Croatian International to join the Villeneuve d’Ascq squad for 2024/2025. She had been playing in LFB for four seasons already. But which one is it?
It is Iva SLONJSAK (post 3, 1.83 m) who played less than 30 kilometers from Saint-Amand Hainaut last year. She has just produced her best season from a statistical point of view (13.3 points, 4.3 rebounds, 2 assists).
This new challenge will be the perfect opportunity for the Zagreb native to discover the premier competition in Europe: the Women’s Euroleague.
The general manager, Christophe VITOUXcommented on the arrival of the interior:
“With Rachid Meziane, we have chosen a powerful domestic sector. To balance the game, the signing of Iva Slonjšak is important. She is lively, technical and very skillful. She is also very motivated to play the EuroLeague and we are happy that it is under the colors of Villeneuve-d’Ascq. I am sure she will prove herself in this competition.”
