Czech Republic wins dress rehearsal for European Championship

The first penalty decision was controversial because Paderborn’s Visar Musliu had only lightly touched Tomas Soucek. Schick, who had already scored an offside goal in the first half (25th), converted it confidently.

The same goes for substitute Barak, who scored after a foul on Mojmir Chytil. Isnik Alimi scored the equaliser for the visitors (25′).

Three days after the 7-1 win against Malta, the Czechs, including Schick’s Bayer colleague Adam Hlozek in the starting line-up, dominated the game for long stretches in Hradec Kralove, but failed to capitalise on their chances, especially in the first half.

At the finals in Germany, they will face Portugal (June 18), Georgia (June 22) and Turkey (June 26) in Group F.
