Czech rider Salač had a heavy fall

Czech motorcycle rider Filip Salač had a heavy fall in training for the Grand Prix of the Netherlands.

The 22-year-old pilot ended up on the ground after only six minutes in the seventh corner of the circuit in Assen.

At one point during the car accident, his left leg apparently got stuck under the machine, he was visibly limping after the fall, but he left the scene of the accident unaided.

However, after a check-up at the health center at the circuit, Salač headed to the hospital for another examination, according to Nova Sport television.

Due to Salač’s crash, practice was stopped with a red flag and continued only after the track was cleared. It was won by Spaniard Fermín Aldeguer in a lap record of 1:35.912.

In the same place as Salač, the second man in the World Championship provisional classification, Joe Roberts, also fell and probably suffered a hand injury.

In addition to Aldeguero, only the Japanese Ai Ogura surpassed the American pilot. Salač remained in training without a measured circuit.

ELF Marc VDS Racing team member arrived in the Netherlands as the 18th man in the Moto2 standings.

Four weeks ago in Mugello, he did not finish the race after a fall, he turned the previous four starts into points and his maximum is the eleventh place from April’s Spanish Grand Prix in Jerez.
