Dalberto said goodbye after being released by Madura United

Jakarta (ANTARA) – Foreign striker Dalberto said his farewell after being announced as being released by Indonesian League 1 club Madura United.

Reporting from the club’s official Instagram post @maduraunited.fc, Saturday, Madura United would like to thank Dalberto for the contribution he has made.

“Mator Sakalangkong, Dalberto. 6 goals with Laskar Sape Kerrab, thank you for bringing you to runner up BRI Liga 1 2023/24. “Always success at the new club,” wrote the post.

Dalberto immediately responded to this announcement, who also expressed his thanks to Madura United, who will be his team during the second half of the 2023/24 Liga 1 season.

“Thank you Madura for all the moments shared, I appreciate this opportunity, defending this institution is an honor, thank you,” wrote Dalberto in the upload.

Dalberto was brought in by Madura United in the transfer market in the middle of the 2023/24 season, replacing Junior Brandao who was on loan at Bhayangkara FC at that time.

During half a season defending Madura United, the 29 year old player appeared in 17 matches and was able to contribute seven goals and three assists from a total of 1,487 minutes played.

Dalberto is the second foreign player released by Madura United ahead of entering the 2024/25 Indonesian League 1 competition after previously releasing Mexican attacking midfielder Francisco Rivera.

Last season, Francisco Rivera became one of the important pillars of Madura United and was among the best players in the Indonesian League 1 2023/24.
