Dallas Mavericks Return to NBA Finals After 13 Years, Set to Face Boston Celtics

Dallas Mavericks are in the NBA Finals for the first time in 13 years.

The Texan squad was crowned champion of the Western Conference after beating the Minnesota Timberwolves in five games.

Dallas had not reached the NBA Finals since 2011 when they beat the Miami Heat and won their first league championship at the hands of the historic Dirk Nowitzki and the team’s now coach, Jason Kidd.

In the final they will face the Boston Celtics, who come from eliminating the Indiana Pacers.

The first game of the NBA Finals will take place on Thursday, June 6 on the Celtics’ home court.

The series will be won by the team that obtains four wins.
