Former Los Angeles Lakers coach Darvin Ham has agreed to join Milwaukee Bucks coach Doc Rivers’ staff as a top assistant, sources told ESPN on Monday.

Ham, who was fired by the Lakers after finishing with a 94-70 record and reaching the Western Conference finals in two seasons, returns to a Bucks franchise where he had spent four seasons and was part of the season. of the 2021 NBA championship.

Ham, 50, had been in demand this offseason as a head assistant coach and now returns to a Bucks franchise that was plagued by injuries in a first-round loss to Indiana this season. He has strong relationships with key Bucks players, including two-time MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo.
