Roberto De Zerbi will be the coach of Olympique Marseille. The French club says it has reached an agreement in principle with the Italian. The Ligue 1 club is now working on “preparing the arrival of the coach and his staff on the OM bench in the next few days,” it said in a statement.

The 45-year-old De Zerbi was most recently a coach in the Premier League at Brighton & Hove Albion. He resigned from the English club after two years and was considered a coaching candidate by many top European clubs, including FC Bayern Munich. The former Champions League winner from Marseille only finished eighth in France last season.
