Double Success at Haragei Judo Club: Mother-Daughter Duo Earn Black Belts

The season ends in style at the Haragei judo club in Laventie. Indeed, on Saturday May 25, Camille Willems-Demyunck obtained the last points necessary to obtain her black belt. This is all the more wonderful because on the same day, in the morning, her mother, Anne-Sophie Demuynck, took her last test to obtain her black belt.

Mother and daughter were able to celebrate their successes with dignity and will be duly honored during the traditional graduation ceremony which will take place on Friday June 28 from 6:30 p.m. at the dojo.

Progression of the four activities

The club authorities represented themselves before the licensees during the elective general meeting which took place at the end of May. The team in place for 4 years was unanimously re-elected.

David Gommenne, 3rd Dan black belt, remains president. “ The club is doing very well, we finished the season with 230 members. Our 4 activities: judo, Jujitsu/self-defense, baby judo and Taiso, are progressing. The club was honored by our competitors in the department, the region and even up to the minimal French championship (with Émeline Chuffart) and will fall (with Camille Willems-Demuynck and Samuel Hubert). This is thanks to the actions of the 10 volunteers in the office and of course the work of our two wonderful teachers, Antoine Lenglet and Laetitia Gilli. »
