Starting with eight strokes ahead of the competition and eleven over Linn Grant, the Swede Sebastian Soderberg completely collapsed (77) on Sunday at the Volvo Car Scandinavian Mixed, leaving the LET trophy to his compatriot (-17).
At the finish, victory went to Linn Grant, her compatriot, who had already won this tournament in 2022. She scored a 6th victory on the LET and owes her victory in particular to a miraculous chip scored on the same 18: “It’s a lot of emotions but it’s also a terrible time for Sebastian. I am obviously delighted to win a second time at home (in Sweden), where I live. I had no other objective this morning (Sunday) than to play as best as possible, without setting a specific objective. On the 18th, the attack on the green was not ideal but I told my brother, my caddy for this tournament, that it would be really cool to hit the chip. And it came in. It was very windy on the last nine holes but I am happy with the work done today (Sunday). »
