In this edition of VZ Social, attention is paid to the leisure activities of the Dutch team on the rest day during the European Championship.
The day after the last group matches at the European Championship, the selection of the Dutch national team was given a day of rest by national coach Ronald Koeman. Various staff members and players share images of their daytime activities on Instagram. For example, Ronald Koeman and Nigel de Jong choose to play golf, while Ryan Gravenberch and Lutsharel Geertruida, among others, choose to go shopping, according to Algemeen Dagblad.
Joey Veerman stays with his family in the players’ hotel and is photographed in the sandbox. At the same time, Memphis Depay plays a game of chess with Bart Verbruggen, Mark Flekken and Joshua Zirkzee. The latter is also captured in the swimming pool of the players’ hotel with Matthijs de Ligt and Tijjani Reijnders.
