“He marries people. He can do it with them, he will make a mess in the sector,” appreciated Štefela, thanks to whom a few Czech flags and banners peeked out in the audience while the Italian flags dominated, including from his loved ones from his home town of Zátor. But he did not get the stands to boil over his attempts.
“I guess I don’t have as much charisma as Tamberi. The Italians were so homely, they cheered for their own. During my attempts, I only heard small groups of Czechs, which I regret, I was expecting a bigger cauldron,” Jaroslav Bába’s ward regretted.

When Tamberi fired the last volley of enthusiasm with a successful jump of 237 cm, Štefela was already standing in the bowels of the stadium. And he regretted the third dropped attempt at 229 cm, with which he would have taken the medal.
“I already thought I jumped it, so how come the bar didn’t stay there? I’m sorry,” he didn’t hide it and was looking forward to finally having a pizza. And he will continue to benefit from Tuesday night. “I’ll take the experience away from here, that’s all. But not satisfaction. I will be satisfied when I win,” he smiled.
