Emilio Regueira receives the medal for Merit ‘Victoriano Lorenzo’

This June 6th, Emilio Regueira, vocalist and guitarist of the Panamanian band Los Rabanes, received the Victoriano Lorenzo merit medal, one of the highest recognitions granted by the Republic of Panama.

This recognition was granted by the governor of the province of Panama, Carla García B., in an event held at the government house, Belisario Porras Palace.

The recognition ceremony was also attended by First lady of the Republic of Panama, Yazmín Colón de Cortizo.

Emilio Regueira is he first musician of a Panamanian rock band that receives this distinction.

The occasion was also necessary for the governor to give Los Rabanes a plaque of recognition from the Crescent Moon record label, for the record they have obtained of 16 weeks in the #1 radio position in Panama, with the song “Men cry too.”

Emilio Regueira was very pleased by this recognition, highlighting the achievements of his musical career, and its beginnings in Chitré, arriving to conquer the big city with the characteristic sound of Los Rabanes: “From where Victoriano Lorenzo is and where Los Rabanes are from, we say to you with all our hearts, and from the top of our skin, thank you very much, Panama,” said Emilio after receiving the medal.
