Empowering Indonesian Entrepreneurs Abroad: BNI’s Diaspora Loans in Japan

Japan – PT Bank Negara Indonesia (Persero) Tbk continues to encourage the distribution of loans to Indonesian entrepreneurs abroad. This has been demonstrated in one way through the provision of diaspora loans to diaspora entrepreneurs in Japan.

Network and Services Director BNI Ronnie Venir said that BNI Tokyo is a foreign branch with its own status full license can offer all products and services available in Japanese banking. This includes loans for diaspora entrepreneurs.

“One of the main functions of BNI foreign missions is to support all businesses related to Indonesia (Indonesia related business) which is controlled by the diaspora,” Ronnie was quoted as saying in his statement on Saturday, June 29, 2024.

Ronnie said that Keihin Corporation’s services, which make it easier for Indonesians to find a company to intern with in Japan, are an example of a company that lives up to BNI’s commitment.

He explained that the loan was distributed through Keihin, a company that operates in the travel and tourism industry and distributes Indonesian interns in Japan.

In addition to the loan disbursed through Keyhin Corporation, BNI also has a People’s Enterprise Credit (KUR) program for Indonesian Migrant Workers (PMI) who are interning abroad. This program is an integrated solution of BNI where BNI supports PMI overseas through KUR PMI.

BNI distributes loans to the diaspora in Japan.

“After completing the internship program in Japan, many PMIs intend to open a business in Japan or Indonesia. For those who want to do business in Japan, BNI is ready to help with diaspora loans. Meanwhile, for those who want to return to Indonesia, BNI also offers various credit opportunities in our country,” Ronnie said.

The Ambassador of the Republic of Indonesia to Japan, Heri Ahmadi, said he hoped that BNI’s support for the diaspora could inspire them to become entrepreneurs. This could improve business relations between the two countries and make BNI a reliable banking partner for the Indonesian diaspora.
