Mirlind Daku will also be missing from the Albanian national team in a possible European Championship round of 16. UEFA has banned the player. The reason for this is his misconduct after the match against Croatia.

The European Football Union UEFA has banned Albanian striker Mirlind Daku for two European Championship matches. The 26-year-old’s misconduct after the Albanians’ match against Croatia on June 19 in Hamburg (2:2) “brought football into disrepute”. Daku used the sport to convey messages of a non-sporting nature. After the match, Daku was seen standing in front of the Albanian fans with a megaphone and was subsequently accused of nationalist chants.
