But we only made one point, even though our ambition was to progress from the group. This cannot be considered a success. There are more of those circumstances and we will take it easy,” said Fousek.
Hašek took over the team at the beginning of the year after Jaroslav Šilhavé, who decided to quit despite progressing to the Euros. The 60-year-old coach has a contract with the FAČR management until the end of the qualification for the World Cup, i.e. until November next year, with an option for a play-off or the final tournament.
The failure at the European championship will not mean that Hašek’s position would be in jeopardy. “I don’t expect that, because the Nations League is played in two months,” Fousek recalled.
