European Championships, today’s matches Wednesday 26 June and where to watch them on TV – Football

Ukraine-Belgium

Everything still open in E group with four teams on three points. Balance reigns supreme, which is why Ukraine-Belgium is an in or out for both. For now the goal difference rewards Romania and the Red Devils, but after the last 90′ everything can change. Lukaku and his teammates, after the surprise defeat against Slovakia, raised their heads by beating Romania. Ukraine, on the other hand, after the shock start against Romania (0-3), made up for it by making a comeback against Slovakia, thus earning the possibility of accessing the next round.

Slovakia-Romania

As for Ukraine and Belgium, also for Slovakia and Romania everything is still to be decided. Whoever wins has the mathematical certainty of snatching the pass to the eighth-finals, whoever loses can still hope to go through as the best third. So far the Slovakia surprisingly beat Belgium in their opening match and then melted away at the end of the match against Ukraine, losing in a comeback. Romania had also won in their opening match, beating the Kiev team 3-0, but against Belgium they surrendered to the magic of Tielemans and a late goal by De Bruyne. All in 90 minutes, therefore, where goal difference could be decisive in view of the qualification to the next round.

Georgia-Portugal

Georgia seeks the feat against a Portugal already certain of passage to the round of 16 and first place in group F. Kvaratskhelia and his teammates, after losing on their debut against Turkey, did not go beyond a draw against the Czech Republic, but the chances of passing the round are still intact. Beating the Portuguese team, however, is a must to at least be among the best third-placed teams in the tournament. It won’t be easy, but there is a strong possibility that some of the Portuguese starters could rest ahead of the final phase and at that point Willy Sagnol’s team will have to try to take advantage of it.

Czech Republic-Türkiye

At the Volksparkstadion in Hamburg at Türkiye’s Vincenzo Montella a draw is enough to secure the round of 16 as second in the group. The situation is different for the Czech Republic, stuck at just one point in the standings thanks to the 1-1 draw against Georgia on the second matchday, and forced to win in order to progress to the next round. Curiously, the two teams faced each other on the third day of a group stage of a European Championship in both 2008 and 2016 and on both occasions the Turkish selection prevailed.
