According to AGF Video Research, ARD achieved a market share of 73.4 percent. This does not include fans who watched the game at public viewings, on the Internet or on Telekom.

During the late draw against Switzerland, Das Erste exceeded the reach of the two victories of the German national team against Scotland and Hungary. An average of 22.49 million and 23.89 million people tuned in to the first two group matches.

The figures for the three group matches involving Germany are significantly higher than the figures for the World Cup in Qatar. But they also exceed the figures for the preliminary round matches of the European Championship three years ago.
