Eva Lys is getting better and better on the green grass in Roehampton and is close to moving into the main draw at Wimbledon. The German confidently held the upper hand against the Frenchwoman Séléna Janicijevic and triumphed 6:3 and 6:0 after exactly one hour and one minute of play. The German gave her opponent no chance, especially in the second set, and played herself almost into a frenzy.
In the previous round, Lys had already beaten the Cypriot Raluca Șerban 6:4, 6:4 without any major problems. Lys is now just one win away from being in the main draw of the All England Championship, which begins next Monday. In the final qualifying round, Lys will play against Amanda Anisimova from the USA on Thursday.
