▲ Hadong-gun wanted daily sports national badminton competition held
[정필=[경남] [Reporter Yang Geon-young [email protected]]The ‘Hadong-gun Lifestyle Sports National Badminton Competition’ will be held for three days from June 14th to 16th at four locations, including Hadong Gymnasium and auxiliary stadium.
Hosted and organized by the Hadong-gun Badminton Association, this tournament is expected to involve 1,000 teams and 2,000 players from across the country, adding excitement to the summer days with their determination and passion for winning.
The competition will begin with a friendly match for officials on the 14th, followed by mixed doubles and men’s and women’s doubles matches for various age groups from the 20s to the 50s over two days from the 15th to the 16th.
Athletes plan to participate in the competition and put on full display the skills they have honed over the years.
Hadong-gun Mayor Ha Seung-cheol said, “Badminton is Hadong-gun’s favorite sport, achieving excellent results in various international competitions, and is also the most popular lifestyle sport. “I’m happy to be with many club members in Hadong,” he said.
He also added, “We hope you enjoy the 8th Hadong Seomjin River Cultural Jaecheop Festival held during the competition period.”
Chairman Kim Kwan-hyun expressed his gratitude to badminton fans from all over the country who came to Hadong despite the hot weather, saying, “We did our best to prepare for a flawless competition. “I hope you achieve as good results as you expect, and I hope you take away great memories from Hadong,” he said.
