The 2024 edition of Canada Day in the City of Thetford Mines will offer a varied and free program to satisfy all customers.
The family celebration will be back with an extended time slot, between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. Inflatable games, mini-golf and disc golf courses, several activities will also be offered at the Notre-Dame Park swimming pool. On a cultural level, a collaborative painting workshop will be led by Chantal Turcotte, cultural mediator at the City. The Bibliomobile of the L’Hiboucou library will also be on site to provide a reading and games area for children in particular.
In the evening, around 7 p.m., it will be possible to attend “The Classic Under the Stars” for free, a baseball game between L’Unicanvas de Thetford and Le Cactus de Victoriaville at the Desjardins stadium. Finally, the pyromusical fireworks show will obviously return to Desjardins stadium from 10 p.m.
