Exploring Prehistory at Rivolta d’Adda’s Nature Park

We will go to the Prehistory Park of Rivolta d’Adda (CR). The Prehistory Park is located on the left bank of the Adda river, immersed in a natural area of over one hundred hectares consisting of a centuries-old forest. Along its shaded itinerary, interspersed with water and lakes, around 50 life-size reconstructions belonging to 34 prehistoric species have been inserted, including arthropods, fish, amphibians, archaic reptiles, dinosaurs, pterosaurs, plesiosaurs, mammals and primitive men. The Park also offers an interesting botanical itinerary with marked plants that allows you to appreciate its flora. Here you will find what remains of the ancient deciduous forest that covered these areas. Elm trees, poplars, hawthorns and locust trees stand alongside the violets, primroses and vinches of the undergrowth. The rich ecosystem of this area also includes a great variety of fauna, from animals that live free in the woods such as squirrels, hares, hedgehogs, moles, dormice, badgers, countless insects and amphibians to those in semi-freedom such as deer, donkeys, horses, goats and sheep.
