I told the children that today they will be doing physical activity as a nighttime activity. The weather wasn’t too hot today and the kids wanted to go outside, so we decided to play badminton at the park. We went to the park prepared with badminton sticks, badminton balls, and even drinks to prepare for the hot weather. As soon as we got to the park, some children were playing on the swings and seesaws, while others were busy hitting each other with badminton sticks. At first, we decided to play badminton in pairs. Children of similar ages and with similar abilities began playing badminton in pairs, with two teams consisting of elementary school boys and one team of female students. In the case of lower grades, badminton was played using badminton sticks made of sponge rather than regular badminton sticks. In the case of badminton sticks made of sponge, they seem to be easier for young children to play badminton because they hit the ball better than other badminton sticks. However, most children did not know how to serve in badminton. Most kids handed the ball over to the opposing team like they were hitting a baseball home run. It wasn’t fun to keep playing sub games like that, so he wanted to play badminton with other teachers. While I was playing badminton with the teachers, one middle school boy and one elementary school boy came. Compared to other children, his badminton skills were very different. They seemed to do better than the average adult. The Juha school boys attacked and seemed to be at a high level to play games with other kids. At the end, all the children were divided into two teams and played the game. The two teams decided to finish badminton after hitting 10 times together, but even after giving and receiving 10 times, they didn’t want to go because they wanted to play more badminton, so it took more time than expected to clean up. However, through badminton, it was a refreshing time to develop physical strength, quickness and agility, and heal the children’s minds and thoughts through activities.
