JAKARTA – Men’s doubles specialist tank player Fajar Alfian has decided to replace the WhatsApp number so that his preparations for the 2024 Paris Olympics do not continue.
The 2024 Paris Olympics will take place from July 26 to August 11, 2024. This means that Fajar’s preparations to appear in the four-year multi-event event are less than a month away.
The Muhammad Rian Ardianto couple said that focusing on targets would be a major concern compared to trivial things that are not important.
“I changed the WhatsApp number. The numbers that are usually no longer active,” said Fajar when met at the PBSI Cipayung National Training Center, East Jakarta, Wednesday, June 26, 2024.
Fajar made the decision after some time ago, Indonesian badminton legend Taufik Hidayat advised the 2024 Paris Olympic athletes to fully concentrate and forget for a while about family matters, their friends and their loved ones.
The 29-year-old badminton player said the message was a detour in achieving dreams, so things that should be avoided should be done.
“The trivial things are what I think are important. I changed the numbers which are only known to people related to the Olympics,” he said.
Indonesia has as many as six representatives of the badminton sports branch who will appear in Paris later. In addition to men’s doubles, four other sectors also have representatives each.
Badminton is one of the reliable sectors to win a gold medal in the 2024 Paris Olympics.
The 2024 Paris Olympics badminton competition will be held at Porte De La Chapelle Arena, Paris, France. Play will start from 28 July to 5 August 2024.
