Gareth Southgate booed and thrown empty glasses by fans English after the match against Slovenia Of Euro 2024. He couldn’t stop thinking about this action.

England failed to win on the last matchday of Group C European Cup against Slovenia. The Three Lions were held to a goalless draw in the duel that took place at the Cologne Stadium, Wednesday (26/6/2024) early morning WIB.

This is England’s second consecutive draw in their last two matches at Euro 2024. Harry Kane and his friends were previously held to a 1-1 draw by Denmark and only managed a narrow 1-0 win over Serbia on matchday one.

The draw against Slovenia did not change the status England National Team as Group C champions and have already secured a place in the last 16. However, fans are still not satisfied with the game shown by England.

Fans vent their disappointment at the England coach, Gareth Southgate. They booed the 53-year-old tactician and threw empty glasses at him after the match.

Southgate said he understood the disappointment felt by England fans. On the one hand, he was surprised because he had never seen a team that had advanced from the group stage still have empty glasses thrown at them by their own fans.

“I understand the reaction but it’s a difficult environment. We try to win games with the changes we make. We put attacking players on the pitch,” Southgate told reporters. ITV.

“I understand the narrative that’s been brought to me. It’s better for the team than it is for them, but it creates an unusual environment to operate in. I’ve never seen another team go through and accept something like that,” he said.
