FC Augsburg Signs Central Defender Keven Schlotterbeck Until 2027

FC Augsburg is strengthening its squad with Keven Schlotterbeck. As announced on Friday, the central defender has signed a contract until 2027.

Schlotterbeck, whose brother Nico works for Borussia Dortmund, would have been under contract with SC Freiburg until 2025. According to the “WAZ”, he used an exit clause worth 2.5 million euros to make the move.

Last season he was loaned to VfL Bochum. In 29 appearances he scored five goals and provided three assists.

“After the great time in Bochum, which fortunately had a happy ending, I am now extremely happy about my permanent move to Augsburg. FCA stands for courageous and emotional football and therefore suits my style of play very well. With my experience and strength in duels, I want to lead the way and play a successful season together with my new teammates,” said the 27-year-old.
