FC Bayern is bringing in an important player from runner-up VfB Stuttgart. Hiroki Ito is apparently being transferred to Munich for a transfer fee of 30 million euros. The record champions are taking advantage of a clause in the Japanese defender’s contract.

The transfer of defender Hiroki Ito from VfB Stuttgart to FC Bayern Munich is apparently complete. As BILD reported on Thursday, the Japanese international is going to Munich for a fixed transfer fee of 30 million euros. The specialist magazine “Kicker” also assumes a transfer.

According to BILD, both sides have agreed, so the only thing missing is the 25-year-old’s signature. VfB has also been informed about the transfer. On Wednesday evening, several media outlets had already reported that the transfer was imminent. However, there has been no confirmation from the clubs so far.

Ito, who has a strong left foot, was one of Stuttgart’s top performers last season and played a major role in the team’s second place in the Bundesliga and qualification for the Champions League. The English Premier League club Tottenham Hotspur is also said to have expressed interest in Ito.

Most recently, the TV channel “Sky” reported that Tah had informed the Leverkusen officials of his desire to move to FC Bayern. The 28-year-old national player, who still has a year under contract in Leverkusen, is said to have also verbally agreed to a transfer with the Munich team. However, Tah does not have a fixed transfer fee in his contract, which runs until 2025. There is also speculation that the Munich team is working on signing the Portuguese midfielder João Palhinha from FC Fulham.
