How The Athletic reported that Michael Olise has decided to move to FC Bayern. According to reports, the Munich club have already contacted Crystal Palace about a possible transfer, but a deal has not yet been finalized.
The 22-year-old Frenchman had recently been linked with numerous clubs, including Chelsea FC, but Newcastle United and the two Manchester clubs United and City were also said to have been interested.
Until recently, Chelsea FC seemed to have the best cards, but the overall financial package does not seem to be feasible for the Blues. Olise was said to have been close to a move to Stamford Bridge a year ago, but the winger changed his mind and instead extended his contract with Crystal Palace for four years.

His new contract not only made him one of the London club’s top earners, it also reportedly contains a release clause estimated at €70 million. This means that Palace’s hands would be tied if Bayern made use of this clause. There has been no official confirmation yet.
