Fiorentina on Vranckx, agreement with Wolfsburg needed – Football

Fiorentina is close to Aster Vranckx, the Belgian midfielder born in 2002 currently involved with his national team at the European Championships in Germany. The Viola club had already followed the player a year ago, now the negotiation is becoming more and more concrete (offered a 5-year contract), the next step is to reach an economic agreement with Wolfsburg who holds Vrankx’s card valued at 10 million euros, while Fiorentina would aim to close at 8 considering the contract expires in 2025.

The Belgian, who has already played in Italy with the Milan shirt, could be the first reinforcement for the team of the new Viola coach Raffaele Palladino who absolutely needs to strengthen a department, the midfield, left orphaned by Arthur and Maxime Lopez ( end of loan) and Duncan whose contract will not be renewed. Jack Bonaventura’s situation remains suspended pending a meeting between Fiorentina itself and the player’s entourage. Furthermore, among the profiles followed are Marco Brescianini of Frosinone and Tommaso Pobega of Milan.

The other priority for the Viola club concerns the attack and in particular the role of the centre-forward considering that Belotti, after his loan experience, has returned to Roma and Nzola could end up on the market: several names have been circulating for some time, from Mateo Retegui whose valuation given by Genoa, 30 million, is considered excessive by Fiorentina, to Andrea Pinamonti of Sassuolo and Lorenzo Lucca just bought out by Udinese for 8 million (the Friulian club would ask for at least double that amount to sell him). Also followed by the 25-year-old Vangelis Pavlidis of Az Alkmaar, valued at around 20 million, in whom, however, there is strong interest from Benfica.
