Football: Brazilian prodigy Endrick, future teammate of Mbappé at Real, offers Auriverde victory

Within his team once again crowned European champions, Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti will have to incorporate not one star but two into an already very talented squad. The Merengue have indeed recruited Kylian Mbappé but also the Brazilian prodigal Endrick (17 years old).

The latter was decisive on the night of Saturday to Sunday by offering victory to his national team against Mexico (3-2) in a preparation match for the Copa America in College Station, in the United States.

While the Mexicans had come back two goals behind, Endrick appeared at the end of added time to head the winning goal for the Brazilians on a serve from… Vinicius, another Madrilenian.

Overjoyed for his third goal in five caps, the Palmeiras player celebrated by removing his number 9 jersey and showing it to the supporters, Lionel Messi style. In addition to his goal, the new Madrilenian multiplied the technical gestures of a very high level.

A good omen before the start of the Copa America (June 20-July 14). The Auriverde will play a final friendly match this Wednesday against the United States. Former PSG striker Neymar, who had knee surgery in November 2023 and is still out of action, will not be on the trip.
