Football: De Laurentiis-Kvara meeting, towards contract renewal – Football

Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis today made a blitz to Germany, where Georgia is playing the European Championships, for a first meeting with Kvitcha Kvaratskhelia, the striker that the Italian club wants to keep. The Italian president responded personally to the clear request of the new coach Antonio Conte, who in his conversation before the signing demanded the Georgian playmaker’s stay. De Laurentiis went to Dusseldorf, we learn, together with sporting director Manna and the club’s CEO Chiavelli: the three had a first direct dialogue with Kvaratskhelia, talking to him about the contract renewal and obtaining the player’s first availability. The idea of the Italian club is to significantly increase his current salary of 1.7 million per season and probably also set a very high termination clause, which could open up a market for Kvaratskhelia in the future with great offers. Now the next step for the club will be to convince Di Lorenzo to remain in the blue shirt, considered untransferable by Conte together with Lobotka and Anguissa.

Meanwhile, the Italian club has made the team’s program official in Dimaro in Trentino, the first part of the summer training camp which will start from 11th July to 24th. On 13th July there will be Conte’s first press conference after training, then press conferences are scheduled of players and two friendly matches, one on 16 July and one on 20 July with teams yet to be defined.
