For the Blues, communication before the first round of legislative elections is no longer on the agenda

While the first round of the legislative elections takes place tomorrow, French political news is much more discreet and occupies less of the conversations at the Blues’ base camp, in Bad Lippspringe. After announcing, via their captain Kylian Mbappé on the eve of the first match against Austria (1-0, June 17), that they wanted to communicate with one voice before the vote, the French players have not really moved forward.

The French star’s broken nose and the two draws (0-0 against the Netherlands on June 21 and 1-1 against Poland on Tuesday) somewhat put aside the questions at the press conference on the subject. Not a bad thing, for a team whose internal sensibilities can be different. The players did not all agree on how to communicate about the political event. A moment closely observed by the Federation, which wanted the Blues not to express themselves too radically.

There are still a few hours to do it before the first round, but that was not the trend at all, in recent hours. After the results, Sunday evening, political news should resurface around the selection.
