Sané is extremely happy with the choice of the 38-year-old Belgian, and there was even a short phone call to exchange congratulations and health updates. “I am very happy that he is now our coach and can work at such a top club,” said Sané. “As a player, Vincent was an absolute leader – someone who sets the direction, who wants to see dominant, fast and courageous football. After a tough search, Kompany was introduced as Thomas Tuchel’s successor at Säbener Straße a few days ago.
