Former world champion Ogier involved in accident

Eight-time world champion Sebastien Ogier and his co-driver Vincent Landais were involved in an accident on Tuesday while preparing for the Poland Rally and had to be taken to hospital for examinations.

According to his team Toyota, the Frenchman collided with another vehicle, which also had two people in it, during a reconnaissance drive, a reconnaissance tour of the track before a World Championship race. According to Toyota, they were a 69-year-old driver and a 67-year-old companion.
