Stroll and Spanish veteran Fernando Alonso should therefore drive for Aston Martin for the third and fourth consecutive years starting next season. The 42-year-old two-time world champion extended his contract with the stable in April.
After ten races of the current season, Stroll is in 11th place and his best result is sixth place in the Australian Grand Prix. Last year, the Canadian pilot was tenth and his maximum in the formula is three third places.
