Fortitudo Bologna has announced that Jefrem Leon will no longer be part of the first team roster for the 2024 season. In the note released by the Bologna club there is no reference to the reasons that led to the decision.
The entire club – we read in the press release – expressed thanks to Jefrem Leon for his always great commitment while wearing the uniform of UnipolSai Fortitudo and a big “good luck” for the continuation of his career.
The 21 year old community pitcher had arrived under the two towers after 3 seasons in the Minor League with the Washington Nationals organization. In 2022 he took part in the Under 23 Baseball World Cup with the Netherlands national team.
So far Leon had won one game, lost two, 14.1 innings pitched, 10 bases walked, 9 strikeouts and an 8.79 ERA.
