After having evolved throughout this season with her club, which will play at the highest level of its history in National 1 next season, Wendy Le Cam was called last May by the French Badminton Federation to play in Serbia, with the France collective U17, last weekend.

Selected in women’s doubles and mixed doubles, Wendy Le Cam easily passed the 1/8 finals in women’s doubles, with her partner Alyssa Vogt, from the Schwindratzheim club. The players lost in the quarter-finals, in three sets, against the number 2 seed. In mixed doubles, Wendy Le Cam and her partner Rayan Benaissa, from Racing club de France, went for the medal of bronze by successively winning in the 1/8 finals against the number 1 seed in three sets, then in the 1/4 finals. Now, only a few days of training left before the one-month summer break for the athlete, who will return to the badminton courts on August 5.
