2024 EUROPEAN CADET JUDO CHAMPIONSHIPS – Two new medals for the cadets with the bronze obtained by Clarisse Carillon and Manon Agati-Alouache.
Clarisse Carillon (-52 kg) beat Libi Becker with a quick waza-ari followed by a second. In the quarterfinals, she was beaten by ippon by Valeriia Kozlova. In the repechage, she beat Anastasiia Severyn by ippon and Lada Vondrakova by hansoku-make.
In the fight for bronze, she faced Alice Bersellini. The Frenchwoman quickly scored a waza-ari while at the same time the Italian took 2 shido. She will finally receive a third after watching the video for a carpet exit.
She was later imitated by Manon Agati-Alouache (-57 kg). She lost Lika Nakhutsrishvili, Diana Balbek and Giulia Sorelli on ippon. Before being eliminated in the semi-final by Maya Toszegi on hansoku-make.
In the fight for bronze, she faced Eileen Probst.
