French Judoka Clarisse Carillon Wins Bronze at European Cadet Championship

This Friday, Clarisse Carillon took the bronze medal during the European Cadet Championship, in Sofia (Bulgaria), category -52 kg. The Chalonnaise first defeated the Israeli Libi Becker in the 32nd final before continuing against the British Kate Chisholm.

In the quarter-finals, the judoka from Saône-et-Loire lost by ippon to the future European champion, the Russian Valeriia Kozlova.

But in the repechage, Clarisse Carillon then had two wins (against the Ukrainian Severyn and the Czech Vondrakova) to give herself a chance of winning a bronze medal.

This was achieved against the Italian Alice Bersellini, by ippon. A great reward for the French cadet vice-champion.
