The Frenchman Zaccharie Risacher was the first choice of the Atlanta Hawks in the NBA draft which took place during the Italian night. He succeeds his compatriot Victor Wembanyama, who finished first in the 2023 edition and was chosen by the San Antonio Spurs.
Risacher is a 19-year-old winger, stands 2.06 meters tall and joins an already competitive team. He is the son of a former basketball player, Stephane Risacher, silver medalist with France at the Sydney Olympics in 2000.
