The first piece of the new Novipiù Monferrato Basket sports season is Gabriele Casalvieri. The Monferrato Club has entrusted the sporting direction for the next three years to the manager leaving Mantua.
Born in Latina on 3 May 1971, after a career as a player between Serie A and B1, at just 35 years old he decided to stop playing basketball and began his adventure as a Fip agent by founding MVPlayers together with his friend Federico Boschi. In the 2014/15 season he was hired by Pallacanestro Mantovana as Sports Director and remained at the helm of the Stings for 8 years, becoming General Manager and keeping the Virgilians in Serie A2. In recent years Mantua has reached the playoffs 5 times and an Italian Cup Final in 2015/16. At the end of the 2022/23 season the Club sells the rights to A2 and starts again from Serie C with the JB Stings project, Casalvieri remains as GM and conquers the category jump after winning the playoff final last Saturday.
Sports Director Gabriele Casalvieri will be presented to the press and fans on Thursday 27 June in the press conference that will be held at 6:30 pm in the council chamber of the Municipality of Casale Monferrato in the presence of Mayor Emanuele Capra and Deputy Mayor with responsibility for sport Luca Novelli.
