Pierre Gasly and Lance Stroll have extended their contracts with their racing teams. The Frenchman Gasly signed with Alpine for several years, the Canadian with Aston Martin for the coming season and “beyond”.
With Gasly’s signature, there is only one place left for the coming season at the former Renault racing team, while Esteban Ocon’s contract expires at the end of the year and will not be renewed. In the current season, Gasly and Ocon have only scored eight points so far.
No information was given about the exact duration of Stroll’s contract. Two-time world champion Fernando Alonso had already agreed to continue working with Aston Martin.
