The German national team is prepared for all eventualities for the upcoming home European Championship.
“Of course we already have an emergency plan for what happens if there are still ten minutes to play and we absolutely need a goal,” assured national coach Julian Nagelsmann in the “Spielmacher” podcast by 360Media with Sebastian Hellmann.
The 36-year-old has agreed on a key word with his players just in case. His team had “practiced the corresponding situation beforehand so that the players know what they have to do when I call out ’emergency plan’. The procedures are in place,” said Nagelsmann.
The DFB selection will play its dress rehearsal for the European Championship against Greece on Friday (8.45 p.m./RTL) in Mönchengladbach. The tournament begins a week later in Munich with the opening match against Scotland.
