Gigi Dall’Igna’s Farewell Message After Pramac Moves to Yamaha

TRIBUNLOMBOK.COM, MATARAM – Ducati and Pramac Racing have officially parted ways after 20 years of togetherness.

This decision marks the end of an era of success for both sides, and opens the way for new adventures in the future.

Despite separating, both Ducati and Pramac Racing still respect and appreciate each other’s contributions.

Ducati CEO, Claudio Domenicali, expressed his gratitude to Paolo Campinoti and the Pramac Racing team for everything they have given over the last 20 years.

“I want to personally thank Paolo Campinoti for all the years we have spent together,” said Domenicali, quoted by Crash.

In line with Domenicali, General Manager of Ducati Corse, Gigi Dall’Igna, also expressed his gratitude for the dedication and hard work of the Pramac Racing team.

“I would like to thank Paolo Campinoti and the Pramac Racing team for all the commitment, dedication and hard work we have done together in these 20 years of collaboration,” said Dall’Igna.

Despite regretting the separation, Dall’Igna stressed the importance of remaining focused on the present and giving his full support to Pramac Racing, Jorge Martín and Franco Morbidelli to achieve the best results in the remainder of the 2024 season.

“Our relationship began in 2005, and we have achieved important milestones together. Pramac Racing became the first independent Ducati team to win a race in MotoGP and achieved several Team World Championship titles in 2023, as well as the Best Independent Team title,” said Dall’Igna.

A Bright Future Awaits

Although Ducati will lose one of its most successful satellite teams, they remain optimistic about the future. With a strong factory team and talented young talent like Jorge Martin, they are believed to still be able to compete at the top of MotoGP.

On the other hand, Pramac Racing is starting a new chapter full of opportunities with Yamaha. The Japanese manufacturer is known for its innovative technology and commitment to the development of young riders. This collaboration is expected to bring Pramac Racing back to glory in MotoGP.

Yamaha welcomes traditional satellite team Prima Pramac Racing who will receive the same factory-spec YZR-M1 bikes as the Monster Energy Yamaha MotoGP team.

“The target is to accelerate the development of the bike, which remains a top priority for YMC and YMR in our quest to return to winning ways, as well as having four competitive riders in the MotoGP championship in two top-class teams,” Jarvis explained.
