American football from Goiás will be represented in the final phase of the Brazilian Flag Football Cup. Goianos – a team that emerged from the merger of Saints and Rednecks – was runner-up in the Central-West Regional and guaranteed its presence among the 18 best teams in the country. The Super Final will be played in Curitiba, on the 2nd and 3rd of November.

During the weekend (Saturday, 8th, and Sunday, 9th), ten teams from the Central-West participated in the tournament, at the Pedro Ludovico Teixeira Olympic stadium, in Goiânia. Goianos A finished second in the Pequi Conference and faced Rebeldes do Cerrado in the semifinals, winning 28 to 14. In the other semifinal, Campo Grande Predadores beat Sorriso Hornets/MT 39 to 13.

In the big decision, the Predators confirmed their favoritism and took the title, beating Goianos 39 to 12. Third place went to the Rebeldes (40 to 0 over the Hornets). Two other teams from Goiás also participated in the Flag Football tournament: Goianos B and Anápolis Tigers.
